Taylor Swift Earning £6.7 Million Per Month in Royalties from Re-recorded Albums

Taylor Swift continues to reap massive financial rewards from re-recording her back catalog, with estimates that she’s earning around £6.7 million (nearly $8 million) per month in royalties.

According to calculations by the gambling experts at KingCasinoBonus.uk, Swift’s three re-recorded albums have a staggering combined streaming total of nearly 7 billion on Spotify alone.

With the standard royalty rate on streaming services, that translates to an eye-popping monthly income for Swift as her reclaimed music dominates playlists.

Swift began the re-recording process in 2021 after a public dispute over ownership of her master recordings. She wanted to regain control of her musical legacy.

Her first re-recorded album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), came out that April. Red (Taylor’s Version) followed in November 2021. Her most recent, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), was released this past July.

Based on their billions of streams so far, Swift earns an estimated:

  • £597,263 monthly from Fearless
  • £1,106,924 monthly from Red
  • £5,034,598 monthly from Speak Now

That’s a £6.7 million monthly payday and counting.

Swift’s exact streaming rates aren’t public, but industry experts estimate it’s around $0.006 to $0.0084 per play.

At £0.0063 per stream, Fearless has earned around £16 million total so far. Red has brought in £22 million, while Speak Now’s one month alone netted over £5 million.

And Swift is about to add a huge new income stream with the forthcoming release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October. The original 1989 was one of her biggest commercial blockbusters.

When Scooter Braun acquired Swift’s back catalog in 2019, she vowed to re-record all her albums to reclaim ownership.

“It’s going to be fun, because it’ll feel like regaining a freedom and taking back what’s mine,” Swift told Good Morning America.

Her massive re-recording streaming numbers prove fans are embracing her efforts. And in the process, Swift is cementing herself as one of music’s savviest businesswomen.

While churning out a series of new hit albums like Midnights, she’s also minting millions from these re-recordings.

Swift is reclaiming not just her musical legacy, but also the huge financial rewards that come with it. Her streams translate to a tremendous boon for her personal wealth as she heads toward billionaire status.

Just from her re-recordings alone, Swift is lining her pockets with an estimated $8 million every month. That’s on top of earnings from album sales, sold-out stadium shows, and other business ventures.

Thirteen years after she first broke out, Swift is now both a critical and commercial juggernaut, with these latest numbers reiterating her money-making power. She continues to reign, both creatively and financially, as one of music’s most dominant forces.
