New York City – Pop superstar Taylor Swift was photographed in New York City on Friday night heading to dinner at Minetta Tavern, just hours after Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce declined to comment on whether Swift would be attending his game on Sunday in Germany.
The 33-year-old singer was dressed casually for the night out, wearing a patterned tan sweater, brown pants and brown leather shoes. She carried a small purse and wore bright red lipstick.
Swift and Kelce have been spotted together several times in recent months, sparking dating rumors. The “Lover” singer has attended four of Kelce’s NFL games so far amid their budding romance.
However, this weekend marks the start of a busy period for Swift’s schedule. Her Eras Tour kicks off its international dates with three shows in Buenos Aires starting November 9th. She will then head to Brazil for shows in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo before the tour picks back up in February in Asia.
With his team playing a game in Munich versus the Miami Dolphins, it seems unlikely Kelce will be able to attend Swift’s upcoming South American shows. The Chiefs tight end declined to say whether Swift would be at Sunday’s game during a press conference on Friday.
“My focus is on the Miami Dolphins and getting a win overseas,” Kelce said. “I’m not worried about anything else outside of football during the football season. We’ll keep that between me and whoever else is involved.”
Rumors of a romance between the two stars started this summer when they were spotted having dinner together in Kansas City. Since then, the pair were photographed after going on a date in Rhode Island and holding hands in New York City.
According to a recent report by People, the relationship is “quickly turning more serious.” A source told the magazine, “They share a strong work ethic and have a huge appreciation for life and their careers, strong family bond and values.”
Both Swift and Kelce have busy careers that demand significant travel and long hours. However, it seems they are making an effort to spend time together when possible.
For Swift, the Eras Tour represents a massive comeback after years spent mostly out of the spotlight due to the pandemic and re-recording her first six albums to regain control of her master recordings.
The tour proved so successful that Swift released the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film in October, which earned nearly $100 million in its opening weekend. She also just released her latest re-recorded album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which came out October 27th.
Meanwhile, Kelce is having another standout season for the Chiefs, catching 44 passes for 455 yards and 7 touchdowns so far. At age 33, he remains one of the NFL’s top tight ends. Sunday’s game will mark the Chiefs’ second ever regular season game in Germany as the league looks to expand its global brand.
While Swift likely won’t make it to Germany for the game, she and Kelce appear committed to supporting each other’s careers. According to sources close to the couple, they have bonded over their strong work ethics and family values.
Fans will have to keep watching to see if this high-powered celebrity couple makes things official. But for now, Swift seems to be enjoying her downtime in New York City before embarking on the next leg of her record-breaking stadium tour.
